She’s A Brick House
Currently, our kitchen features a very strange faux-brick backsplash. To minimize it during our mini kitchen makeover about a year ago, we painted it along with the rest of the room. Now thanks to our impending full kitchen remodel, the time has (finally!) come to take it down.
Sherry began chipping away at it a few days ago, hoping it was one large plastic-y panel that could easily be lifted out. No such luck. It’s actually a series of tiles that are cemented directly to the wall so we’re going to leave it up to the contractor to demo it out and skim coat the wall while he’s here widening the doorways this coming Wednesday.
Here’s a photo of our funky faux-brick backsplash along with a friendly reminder that - despite its looks - the tile isn’t a tasty breakfast pastry.
