Varsity Letters
Alright, alright. Peer pressure is a powerful thing. And due to popular demand we’ve added some fun personalized monograms to our shop. So if you’re looking for a custom letter like the big P that we have in our living room, today’s your lucky day. These jumbo initials are a fresh twist on the tried and true monogram, and each letter actually comes from the page of a magazine which has been blown up to create an 8 x 10 inch matte print on quality archival paper that’s sure to elicit its fair share of compliments.
To pick out your very own oversized magazine monogram, visit our shop page and select “click to view collection” to peep each and every letter of the alphabet. Then just snag yours for 15 smackaroos (including shipping). Easy, peasy.
On the other hand, some of you were more interested in some quirky first initials like the ones we have above our bed.
Ours say “J” “and”(in sign language) “S”, but you can get any combination of initials and a whole bunch of cool icons for the middle frame (like a graphic ampersand or a sweet ribbon heart). And every letter has that fun mixed & matched feel since we’ve varied the style of each initial. These 5 by 7 inch matte prints on quality archival paper look fabulous in their own frames (as seen above) or in one of those long frames with three openings. And at the totally sweet price of three for $15 (including shipping), we’re hoping that our plan to bring affordable custom art to the masses is working like a charm.
We also know that it helps to see our prints in a room, so we’ve begun to photograph a few in our house (the Love You More print, the Alaskan Volcano and the Sunset In Three Parts) and have added “view in room” links under each of them.
We plan to continue to add more photos of our posters and prints all framed and pretty in a room- and many people who have ordered them have promised to send us pics of them in their space as well, which will be pretty darn exciting.
Oh and one more thing. For all you baby mommas and baby daddys out there, we’re excited to announce that we have some sweet and playful baby monograms in the works. We can’t spill the beans yet, but you can rest assured that they’ll be another fresh take on the whole monogram idea so stay tuned…

I have been eyeing your J & S for a while now and I love that you are offering some options to loyal readers. However, my husband and I are both “J’s” — FYI no we’re not planning to have any J-named kids to perpetuate this coincidence — and I was curious if you might consider offering two options for each letter (perhaps a “masculine” and “feminine” style) for couples with this dilemma?

Jess- I totally feel your same initial pain and would love to make another J in a different style for ya. Just give us your email addy (or email us at youngsters@thisyounghouse.com) and we’ll send you another J in a contrasting style. Then if you’re down with the look of the second J, you can order your set of three monograms and we’ll print and ship your custom order right to your door. Hope that helps!
