Stool Pigeons
While perusing one of our favorite reads, we stumbled upon the most breathtaking vintage drafting stools discovered at an LA flea market. Oh how we long to teleport there and snag the last few.

It’s totally love at first (and second) sight. And I’m making a mental note about the color. A moody gray green would look just as delicious on a side table, the back of a bookcase, or even a concrete floor. Try Glidden’s Mystic Seaport for a similar shade.

What a great look! Any idea what that color is? We’re looking for something similar for our kitchen.
Here are simililar stools at Pottery Barn (http://www.potterybarn.com/products/p10875/index.cfm?pkey=cfurbabstl) They don’t come in green but the red is pretty cool!

So glad you’re loving the stools as much as I am. I really think the industrial style paired with the unexpected color is a fab combo. And speaking of the color, I just flipped through my trusty deck of paint and decided that Glidden’s Mystic Seaport is the closest to the fantastic gray-green shade. Happy painting!

When we remodeled our 50s kitchen we went for a gray green on the walls. We’re not done yet (2.5 years later!) because we can’t agree on a backsplash, but if you are looking for a pretty gray-green I recommend Glidden’s Manatee Grey. I think you can see in this picture that in my southern exposure kitchen it’s more green than gray, but not by much!

thank you for all of the nice comments~ i have used this color in two of my houses, and never tire of it. the original color was a martha stewart for kmart color ‘taper green’ i believe you can still find in at OSH hardware.
if any one is interested, i can send you a small sliver of the color that i have. you could then have it matched.
