Scranton Needs Us
If you saw The Office on Thursday then you too probably wanted to jump through the screen and help Jim fix up the house he bought for Pam as a surprise. I mean, c’mon, Sherry and I couldn’t have been the only ones itching to get our hands on it (that’s what she said).
You can see some of the fixer-upper house tour in the video below, shag carpet, wood paneling and clown art included. And NBC, feel free to give us a ring if you need some help with the makeover. Heck, for Jim and Pam we’ll take it on pro bono.
PS: And does any guy in real life get away with surprising his wife with a house? Especially a house that looks like that inside? Ok, well, Sherry probably would’ve loved it.

My dad bought a house w/out telling my mom first…it was the 70s, what can I say. Needless to say, they aren’t married (to each other) anymore!
My husband and I thought the same thing when watching - how does a guy surprise his fiance with that house (his PARENTS’ house) and get that reaction? :)
I’ve been obsessed with your blog since I found it a week or two ago and the FIRST thing I thought when I saw that episode was This Young House! I even started telling my fiance about all the ways Jim and Pam could fix it up based on your blog :) Knowing how well it could be fixed up, I wasn’t surprised at all that she loved up!
I thought that was going to be the end of Jim & Pam! I’m shocked she went for it. I can’t wait to see what they do with the house next. Glad to happen upon other ‘Office’ lovers!
When I watched the Office last week I was also thinking about how they could fix that place up. Glad to know you’re also a fan of The Office.
I hope they call you. I would have run out the door after seeing the scary clown. But even scarier…wall paneling!
What a great episode. As soon as I saw the house I started thinking of all the ways to “swankify” it. Whoever put that clown picture up must have been smoking Caprese salad.
I was totally thrilled to see two of my great loves combined: a fixer-upper, and The Office. I’m also totally thrilled to know you guys are fans.
I love that you threw in a “that’s what she said” reference! I can’t believe Pam went for it, but I’m looking forward to seeing them fix it up.

Ouch, thisyounghouse was the last place on earth I thought I would stumble upon an Office spoiler! :D
