Wedding Advice
Due to overwhelming demand, we’re thrilled to announce that we’re now offering custom wedding mood boards for bride & grooms-to-be! Everyone deserves a dream wedding (even on a tight budget) so we’re dishing out oodles of affordable, personal, and unique wedding ideas for a signature event that’s oh-so-you. If you’re desperately seeking a starting point, a color scheme, or an overall vision for your big day (or just need a creative boost to get over your wedding planning plateau) we’re here to keep things cohesive, crafty, creative and of course cost effective. For just $60 (less than the cost of invitation stamps) we’ll happily review your current wedding progress and any parameters you’ve set (colors are already decided, the location has already been booked) and within one week we’ll send you a mood board chock full of unique and personal wedding ideas dreamed up just for you (and don’t worry, we’ll ask a series of questions to pin down your personal style before we begin).
But don’t just take our word for it, check out a wedding mood board that we recently whipped up for a feisty bride-to-be who loves red and wanted something with spice, energy, and passion.

Our sultry fiesta inspired mood board features everything from a scarlet begonia in the bride’s hair to a sangria toast with Mexican wedding flags and silver “milagro” place card charms to set the tone for the festive gathering. Tapas style food, some Mexican wedding cookie favors and a spirited mariachi band would keep the party going strong, and the gorgeous pineapple cake would cap off the perfect evening with style to spare.
Here’s our take on a beachy celebration for a preppy bride & groom with visions of seafood and surf.

Our Nantucket inspired twist introduced a fun red, white and navy color scheme along with seersucker suits and bridesmaid dresses and iconic red lobsters on everything from the invite to the adorable custom lobster bibs for their guests (they’re even on the groom’s lobster flip flops). Tables covered in white butcher paper and complemented by a table runner of oyster shells would really make for memorable decor and a personalized box of matches with a pail full of sand & sparklers would serve as place cards to keep the sparks flying even after the mini dessert tarts get served up. And when guests leave with their fun favor in hand (a bright red metal lobster cracker) they’ll return to their hotel to find kitschy welcome kits with old bay tartar sauce and crab flavored potato chips.
This wedding mood board was created for a fun-loving couple who wanted something outdoorsy and less formal than the average reception.

We came up with a super fun picnic theme and thought of everything from watermelon and brightly colored frisbee favors to personalized picnic utensils and fun place cards with playful ants marching across the top. Even the gorgeous cake would feature a delectable grass detail to complement our picnic theme and tie in perfectly with our raspberry, lemon and grass green color scheme. For a splurge we even suggested that the bride and groom depart in a hot-air balloon… how memorable (and romantic!) would that be?
